The governor expressed his transition from active governance to campaign mode during an event organized by the Cross River Political Network (CRISPON) as part of celebrations marking the administration’s second anniversary. Addressing a large gathering of party members and spectators, Governor Otu emphasized his commitment to steering the state towards continued progress and development.
“As from next week after the 29 May Democracy Day when I complete two years in office, I will resume and devote more time for politicking towards 2027,”
Governor Otu stated. Reflecting on his past two years in office, he highlighted his dedication to fulfilling promises and serving the people of Cross River State diligently.
“In these two years, I have not disappointed the state. I will never disappoint in the course of governance,”
he reassured the crowd. The governor acknowledged the unwavering support he has received from the citizens, attributing much of their success to their alignment with national politics.
Having aligned with the ruling party at the center during his predecessor’s tenure, Governor Otu credited President Bola Tinubu’s support for enabling numerous achievements within Cross River State. He expressed optimism about future opportunities for growth and development through their affiliation with APC.

Governor Otu affirmed confidently as he outlined plans to further impact and improve livelihoods across various sectors in the state. His administration’s commitment to fostering positive change was reiterated amidst cheers from attendees.
In a show of solidarity, Prince Mike Nku Abuo, Director General of CRISPON commended both Governor Otu and President Tinubu for their exemplary leadership and urged automatic ticket considerations for their respective second terms. The organization vowed to continue engaging with communities and advocating for impactful policies that benefit all residents.
