Job Overview
This position requires someone with expertise in a range of specialized areas including heat pump installation and maintenance, water softener installation and maintenance, as well as filtration and softening technologies. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics effectively. Practical experience with tools and specialized equipment is essential along with a solid understanding of safety protocols and chemical handling procedures.
Educational Qualifications
To qualify for this role, candidates should hold a BTech or NDip in plumbing, HVAC or related fields. Additionally, certification in heat pump installation or related disciplines would be advantageous.
Experience Requirements
The successful applicant must have at least 5 years of experience in operating water treatment facilities, preferably specializing in desalination. Hands-on experience with heat pump systems as well as water softener installation is crucial for this role.
Responsibilities
In this position, your responsibilities will include installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining various systems such as heat pumps for water heating and pool heating; setting up filtration systems; installing and servicing desalination plants; working with thermodynamic solar water heaters; installing pool heaters; conducting routine maintenance on all systems; ensuring regulatory compliance; providing client support regarding system operation and maintenance.
Skills Required
The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills coupled with excellent communication abilities. Customer service skills are paramount given the client-facing nature of the role.
