The TV BRICS International Media Network has taken a significant step forward by partnering with a key Russian state agency to elevate the promotion of Russian agricultural and industrial products within the foreign markets of BRICS+ countries. The collaborative agreement, sealed at the prestigious 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, was formally inked by Ivan Polyakov, the esteemed chairman of TV BRICS, and Ilya Ilyushin, director of the Federal Centre for Agricultural Export Development (Agroexport).
In essence, this partnership sets the stage for a concerted effort to showcase and propagate Russia’s prowess in agriculture on a global scale. By leveraging the power of media, both entities aim to highlight leading industry players from Russia, push for increased visibility of Russian products overseas, and actively engage agricultural and processing enterprises in expanding their export activities.
Ilyushin underscored the pivotal role that media plays in bolstering Russia’s agro-industrial complex:
“Media play an important role in supporting Russia’s agro-industrial complex, helping to promote products in foreign markets and form a positive image of the industry.”
He emphasized the urgency of fostering a global dialogue among nations bound by friendship.
Polyakov echoed these sentiments by affirming that food security and sustainable agricultural development stand as core priorities on TV BRICS’ agenda. Aligned with U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals, their commitment shines through initiatives like “Agroparallels,
” a series produced in collaboration with Brazilian partner Agro+ TV that delves into agricultural cooperation between these two nations.
Looking ahead with great anticipation, Polyakov announced an exciting venture set for 2025 – “
BRICS GRAIN,
” a forthcoming television project poised to delve into sustainable agricultural practices while also championing agricultural diplomacy and enhancing collaboration between Russia and countries across South and East regions.
Established under the auspices of Russia’s Ministry of Agriculture, Agroexport emerges as a vital hub specializing in agricultural exports. Its mandate extends to overseeing the execution of critical projects like “
Agro-Industrial Exports” while working closely with regional bodies to cultivate Russia’s export potential. Central to its operations is market analysis, evaluating trade barriers, facilitating access to crucial information for Russian exporters, and forging direct links with international buyers seeking Russian agricultural goods.
This strategic alliance between TV BRICS and Agroexport holds immense promise not only for advancing Russia’s agro-industrial interests but also for reinforcing ties among member nations comprising BRICS+. With an eye toward nurturing fruitful partnerships globally through impactful media interventions coupled with expert-led support mechanisms geared towards boosting agricultural exports – this collaboration signifies a pivotal moment in shaping narratives around sustainable agriculture within international spheres.
