Zamfaras Political Move Matawalle Urges Lawal to Join APC

In the heart of Zamfara, a political storm is brewing as Dr. Bello Matawalle extends an olive branch to Gov. Dauda Lawal, beckoning him to join the All Progressives Congress (APC). The invitation was made at Matawalle’s residence in Maradun during a festive gathering where supporters flocked to pay their respects.

“Dauda Lawal should come and join the APC… rather than the hide-and-seek type of game the Governor is currently playing,”

urged Matawalle, emphasizing transparency in the political transition. The minister assured Lawal of a warm welcome into the party fold, highlighting the APC as a beacon for security, progress, development, peace, and tranquility.

Matawalle extolled President Bola Tinubu as a visionary leader committed to national development and harmony.

“President Tinubu’s focus is on peace… growth and development,”

he stated, underlining Tinubu’s leadership qualities that align with the party’s principles.

Amidst pledges for welfare support for his followers, Matawalle rallied support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He implored APC loyalists in Zamfara to stand behind the president’s initiatives in critical sectors such as security, agriculture, healthcare, social welfare, and economic advancement.

Reflecting on recent strides in combating insecurity by Tinubu’s administration, Matawalle commended efforts to dismantle terrorist networks plaguing Zamfara and its neighboring regions. He relayed President Tinubu’s directive to restore peace across northern Nigeria by year-end—a mission diligently pursued by defense authorities.

Despite federal allocations earmarked for Zamfara’s upliftment against looming challenges of banditry and socio-economic woes persisting in the region, Matawalle urged Lawal to leverage these resources effectively for tangible developmental projects benefitting communities statewide.

The unfolding political drama underscores power play dynamics within Zamfara’s landscape as alliances shift amidst promises of progress underlining each player’s vision for a better tomorrow.
